Homeopathy is a system of natural medicine that has been in use worldwide for over 200 years. The word, “Homeopathy” has Greek origins meaning “similar suffering”. “Similia Similibus Curantur” or “Like Cures Like” and is the foundation of Classical Homeopathy. Simply stated, a substance in nature which would produce symptoms in a healthy person will, in a Homeopathic preparation, remove those same symptoms in someone suffering from them.

“Symptoms” are the body’s manner of communicating the nature of an illness as it endeavours to remove the illness. The Homeopath’s role is to understand your symptoms precisely and match those symptoms to the symptom profile of a Homeopathic medicine. The medicines are non- toxic and they act as energetic stimulants to the body to correct what has become unbalanced and caused illness. Homeopathic Medicines will not interfere with medication you may currently be taking.

Homeopathy can be effective in treating virtually any health issue regardless of whether the origin is physical, mental or emotional. A well-chosen homeopathic medicine can produce dramatic improvement in acute conditions (eg viral infections or physical injuries) by significantly reducing the intensity of symptoms and the recovery time. It can also be useful in deep-seated chronic conditions that have developed over a long period of time, frequently accompanied by a general deterioration in health. Homeopathy can help reverse the limitations of chronic disease and maintain long-term health. Even in advanced stages of pathology, in which cure may not be possible, Homeopathy can alleviate or reduce severe symptoms including pain, vomiting, anxiety or fear.
